Select Service – Limited Scope Representation

Limited scope representation is focused around the “unbundling” of legal services. This allows clients to “pick and choose” the focus of representation – from legal assistance in their matter with respect to consultations to representation on matters in family court.

The attorneys who form MMD can represent clients in family law matters to ensure that they have legal representation from a seasoned attorney in any particular portion of their case. The attorney and client consult and agree on the scope of representation.

In California, limited scope representation was created as a result of the large number of unrepresented litigants in family courts throughout California (about 70% to 80% of litigants if you include DVTRO filings (Domestic Violence Temporary Restraining Order). If you feel you cannot afford full representation, MMD is set to provide limited scope representation to assist you for any part or parts of your case.
